Enterovirus
Rhinovirus; HRV; HRVs; HEV; HEVs
The genus Enterovirus (EV) belonging to the Picornaviridae family comprises 13 species, of which seven are human viruses. Four of the species are: (1) EV-A such as coxsackievirus (CV)-A6, CV-A10, CV-A16 and EV-A71, (2) EV-B such as the CV-B viruses, echoviruses (ECHO) and CV-A9, (3) EV-C such as polioviruses (PV) and CV-A21, (4) EV-D such as EV-D68 and EV-D70. The other three species are rhinoviruses RV-A, RV-B and RV-C which comprised over 100 different numbered RVs. Infection with enteroviruses can cause numerous clinical conditions including poliomyelitis, meningitis and encephalitis, hand-foot-and-mouth disease, acute flaccid paralysis, diarrhea, myocarditis and respiratory illness.
Enteroviruses are small, nonenveloped, positive-sense, single-stranded RNA viruses with an icosahedral capsid. The genome of ∼7.5 kb encodes a single polyprotein that is autoprocessed into structural proteins (VP1, VP2, VP3, and VP4), nonstructural proteins (2A, 2B, 2C, 3A, 3B, 3C, and 3D), and several functional processing intermediates. The viral nonstructural proteins, particularly the protease 3Cpro and the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase 3Dpol, are attractive targets for antiviral drug development.

N4-Acetylcytidine-13C5
0 ImagesCat. No.: HY-W753593N4-Acetylcytidine-13C5 is the 13C-labeled N4-Acetylcytidine (HY-W019670). N4-acetylcytidine (N4A) is an endogenous nucleoside metabolite from the degradation of tRNA. N4-Acetylcytidine is formed by N-acetyltransferase 10 and other enzymes. N4-acetylcytidine might sustain NLRP3 inflammasome activation via induction of HMGB1 expression and releasee. N4-Acetylcytidine modifies mRNA, tRNA and rRNA, affecting their stability, translation efficiency (such as enterovirus 71 RNA). N4-Acetylcytidine is used in the study of cancer, neuroinflammatory diseases, viral infections and obesity. -

Tenuazonic acid-d13
0 ImagesTenuazonic acid-d13 is deuterium labeled Tenuazonic acid. Tenuazonic acid is a nonhost-selective mycotoxin belonging to the tetramic acids family. Tenuazonic acid inhibits protein biosynthesis on ribosomes by suppressing the release of new protein. Tenuazonic acid is acutely toxic, and oral LD50 is set between 81-186 mg/kg in rats and mice. Tenuazonic acid blocks electron transport beyond the primary quinone receptor (QA) by interacting with the D1 protein and is a photosystem II (PSII) inhibitor. In addition, Tenuazonic acid has antiviral effects on measles virus, enterovirus, respiratory virus and so on. Tenuazonic acid has an inhibitory effect on skin cancer. -

Mulberroside C
0 ImagesMulberroside C is one of the main bioactive components in white mulberry (Morus alba L.). Mulberroside C exhibits antiplatelet, antiviral and neutrophil-regulating activities, and binds to EV-A71 VP1 with a Kd value of 1.289 nM. Mulberroside C reduces the phosphorylation level of ERK, promotes the phosphorylation of IP3RI at the Ser1756 site, and decreases calcium influx and calcium mobilization. Mulberroside C inhibits the expression of P-selectin (P-selectin). Mulberroside C upregulates the cyclic nucleotide signaling pathway in human platelets. Mulberroside C binds to IL-23R, upregulates the expression of G-CSF, GM-CSF and RASGRP1, and activates the RAS/ERK signaling pathway. Mulberroside C promotes neutrophil maturation, accelerates the recovery of leukopenia, and enhances the antibacterial activity of neutrophils. Mulberroside C inhibits the replication of hepatitis C virus in replicon cells. Mulberroside C prevents the uncoating and genome release of EV-A71, and inhibits the synthesis of viral proteins and RNA. Mulberroside C can be used in studies related to thrombosis-mediated cardiovascular diseases, chemotherapy- and radiotherapy-induced leukopenia, hepatitis C virus infection, and hand, foot and mouth disease. -
